Hello and Happy February!
After a very slow January in the store, I'm hoping to see more faces in February as we all start looking forward to spring.
One of the great things about Fusion Mineral Paint is that there is no odor to the paint, which makes it the perfect choice for painting inside when it's too cold to open a window or a door. I took full advantage of that in January and indulged my love of all things bright, bold, colorful, and shiny! Pop in to the store, and you will see every color imaginable (many on the same piece of furniture).
I have always loved using quick set resin and molds to make decorations for furniture, door hangers, etc., but I have been practicing with pouring resin lately, and now I have some great resin trays, coasters, and bookmarks in the store. They are so much fun to make!
February is Iron Orchid Design Transfer month at the Try it Before you Buy it Station. There are painted wooden hearts and small coasters available with various IOD transfers for you to apply. Come in and learn how easy it is to apply a transfer. You get to take your finished project home with you. Beware....it's very addictive!!!
We have collected $25 so far for the Kamloops SPCA at the Cups for a Cause Beverage Bar. We will be adding to that total for February and March as well before we switch over to collecting for the Kamloops Foodbank for April, May, and June. Stop by and have a coffee or a tea or a cold drink and drop a donation in the bucket. 100% of the donations will be forwarded to the named charity.
I'm only holding one class in February, and it's sold out already, but the March class is set for Saturday, March 4th from 3:30 to 5:30. Join me for an Iron Orchid Design class. We will be using IOD stamps and Décor Ink to stamp a tote bag, IOD transfers to decorate a large coaster, and IOD molds and air dry clay to make a fridge magnet. You can sign up for that on the Class Schedule and Sign Up tab on my website.
Hope to see you soon!
